Hi this is a quick tutorial on how to navigate around steam, and also install mods to your games, using the steam workshop. Link to steam: http://store.steam The only way to download and install mods for the standalone version is to get them from the downloads section of the Klei forums. Here's a handy how-to for installing mods from the Klei forums. If the mod is only available on Steam and not on the Klei forums, you may have to contact the mod creator and ask if he or she can put it on our forums. Mods for Skyrim can be found in a few places, but there are two major sources. The first is the Steam Workshop, where mods that you subscribe to will be automatically downloaded to your Data folder, which requires little to no input on your part. To install from steam, you need to have the game in your library as the mod installs basically "update" the game with your subscribed content. I'm not sure if there are other mod places out there, but I think you need to own the content in steam to have steam even download the mods, otherwise it has no where to put it.
